More of Bran

Another weekend on duty, so we have not strayed far from home. We did, however, go and see Bran who is now 6 weeks old. We will be picking him up in a week's time, on our return from a weekend trip to Vancouver.

Calgary Tower

This is the famous Calgary tower. It has a restaurant at the top with fantastic views of the city spanning from the prairie to the Rockies. Quite a landscape!
It was quite scary to stand on the glass floor and look down to the road below.
We will definitely return to have dinner in the revolving restaurant at sunset.

Bran at 4 weeks

We have had a pretty uneventful week. The snow is gradually melting and we have been back to see the puppies and choose the one we want to take home. He is still a little bit shy as you can see, but will approach with some coaxing!

Hidden Valley, eh?

Not very well hidden - we found it straight away!!
This is our local ski resort, an hour's drive from home and ideal for a bit of practice before we head off (hopefully) to the Rockies within the next couple of weeks.
Amazingly, even though we went on a saturday, we had the slopes almost completely to ourselves.
Sam refamiliarised herself with turning and stoppping - just like riding a bike!
Kevin managed not to break anything!

Say hello to Bran Bailey

we have found a litter of gorgeous chocolate labs locally. We have yet to choose which one we will have as they are still very small and will not be ready to leave their mum for another 5 weeks, but it will be the little fella above or one of his brothers.

views around Ralston village

I took these pics on saturday morning when it was -20 degrees C. Since then a warm Chinook wind has blown across the prairie, raising the temperature to +7 overnight, turning it all to grey slush!!
